Rose Gold

I have always steered away from blusher but lately I've started to venture into the world of blushes. My latest purchase is this gorgeous blush from Sleek in the colour Rose Gold. It's such an amazing colour which looks nice on my pale skin but it also looks fantastic on a more tanned skin. It's got some gold shimmer in it which gives the cheeks a lovely glow and it's only £4.49, what a bargain! You can find it here or here.

How to make your foundation light enough

Through the years I have struggled to find a foundation that actually matches my skintone. It's eather too dark or if it happens to be pale enough it's too pink. I have been thinking about getting a white foundation to mix with my darker foundations and now I have finally bought one! I chose Illamasqua Skin Base in the colour SB 01 which is completely white. The good thing about this is that it's very pigmented so you only need a tiny blob and you're sorted! I even tried it with my about five shades too dark Bourjois Healty Mix and as you can see below it actually worked! Remember that if you're wearing water based foundations like the MAC Face & Body or the Chanel Vitalumière Aqua you need to mix it with another water based foundation. You can get the MAC Face & Body in white but only in PRO stores.

The Illamasqua Skin Base retails for £27 and you can find it here!
I tried to blend it as much as I could but as you can see it didn't quite work..

MAC Plink!

For some odd reason you can't Back 2 MAC here in Sweden. So, I save all of my empty MAC products in a little Glossybox so that I can take them with me whenever I'm going somewhere where you can. I stood at the lipstick counter for a long time trying to decide which colour to go for. Do I go for something crazy that I won't wear, I mean it's free? Or do I go for something that I'll actually wear? After much umming and ahhing I went for Plink! MAC describes it as a "warm seashell pink" and it's a Lustre formula. This is not an exciting colour, it's quite the opposite but it's a perfect everyday colour, a my-lips-but-better colour.
